I'm curious what Spice will say, but you need to manage the situation and politely encourage the intruder to move on. Whether it's a first date or an outing with friends, it's rude for someone to approach unless an invite was extended. The subtle approach is preferred since you don't want to come across as being controlling -- possessive more like it. And if your date welcomed the advance with her wandering eye, get up and let him have your seat -- the check too. Best to know up front that she's a player since that is one game you'll never win. First date or fiftieth, if the girl is with you, then you might as well let the guy know. Just do it in a really nice, non-threatening way. The last thing you want to do is cause a scene on your first date with someone, especially if it could end with you getting your butt kicked. Besides, if you handle an uncomfortable situation like that well, it will probably earn you a few points with your date in the process. Meet Spice
